ÖMER TUNCA
Ömer Tunca graduated from Istanbul’s Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture. Since 2018, he has been continuing his artistic production through tattoo art. The academic education he received forms the foundation of his tattoo practice. Combining artworks from past periods through collage and transforming them into contemporary compositions can be seen as a summary of his current style in tattooing.
His works can be viewed as cause-and-effect stories. The centerpiece often takes the form of a person, object, or location. When the supplemental pieces within the work come together, they compose a greater form connected to them in meaning. This intricate set of relations delivered to the client also renders them the inspiration behind the story.
